Meet the Children

Sponsor a child, change a life. Change a life, and you slowly change the world.

The children below are all in need of a sponsor. Maybe it’s you?

Find out more about child sponsorship here or get additional information about a specific child by using our Contact Us form. You can also sign up to sponsor by clicking on the blue DONATE button located on the right-hand side of this page. You’ll then indicate a $40 recurring monthly gift designated for child sponsorship with the name of the child you’d like to sponsor.

Thank you for making a difference in the life of a child!

Emeka Shamusha
My name is Emeka Shamusha aged 12 years born in August 1st 2008. My father karimu Alibaba and mother Nakyeyune Rose separated in 2016, my father is a Muslim who believes in having many women and for this reason my mother had to leave, this has put me in a position of having many siblings, as far as I know, we are 14 children with different mothers but living at the same home, Nuruh, sultan, Sharif,Fred, Ashiraf, Ibrahim, Muhammad, Jafari, Mimuna, Angel, Freduce, Ajidofu, and Meddy.

Our current step mother at home has a privilege that her 2 children can go to school while the rest of us do not still have that opportunity because dad always reminds us how he does not make that much money to feed us, provide for home necessities and at the same time manage paying for our school requirements and fees. I last attended school in August 2018 in primary four, one of my older brother used to meet the school needs while doing his job as a motorcycle rider locally known as boda boda rider until when police took and locked him in their cell for issues that I do not get a chance to know.

My neighbor friend introduced me to cruciform library to read some books, I asked permission and dad allowed me to spend at least half a day there. This has been giving me a chance to access books mostly maths because my reading ability is poor. My greatest wish is to have a chance and resume my studies because when I grow up and finish school, I want to become a lawyer and give support to my older brother at the police who used to finance my schooling.
